Analogue Photography Darkroom and Photo Gallery in Yokohama
Dark Room International
The Dark Room International was created in 1999 to be Japan's first public rental darkroom. It is located in Yokohama's famous Noge district, an old-school area near JR's Sakuragicho Station.
The brainchild of Hisao Saito, a professional commercial photographer who is well-known in Yokohama for his passion for photographs, as well as promoting photographers and the city, the Dark Room International operates as an non-profit organization and receives support from many other professional photographers and photographic societies.
The Dark Room International is open to everyone. Not only can photographers process and develop prints there, beginners can also learn the basics of photography from set-up to developing.
Recently The Dark Room International added photo gallery and exhibition space to its already long list of ways to help photographers advance and display their art. Gallery space is also available to rent (at incredible rates) for whatever event you might have.
Visit them today to find out how they can assist you or simply to visit their first-class photo gallery. Tell them Lee sent you!
