Enjoy hanami, respect the space

When enjoying a hanami (cherry blossom-viewing) picnic in spring, please be mindful not to take up more space than you need. Especially in popular spots, space is limited so people usually bring a picnic sheet just the right size for their group.

Keeping public spaces clean in Japan is highly valued so after you’ve admired the beautiful cherry blossoms, make sure to leave the area tidy just as you found it so the next person can have an equally pleasant experience.
