Comic Market (Comiket) is one of Japan’s largest manga-related events, held twice (August and December). To fully appreciate its appeal, a passion for Japanese manga culture is essential.
At Comiket, independent “circles” or manga communities sell unique products that are oftentimes self-produced and therefore one-of-a-kind, including keychains of beloved characters, books, films, softwares, etc.
The atmosphere is electric, with many attendees dressed up in costumes, making it a fantastic way to immerse yourself in Japan’s manga culture.
