Feeling under the weather is no fun at all, especially when there is work to be done. Thankfully, the last time I found myself ill in Tokyo, I was checked into Hyatt Regency Tokyo and it proved to be the perfect place to get some rest during a hectic week.
Located in Shinjuku, Hyatt Regency Tokyo isn’t far from shopping in Shibuya or popular sights like Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden or Meiji Shrine. Public transportation is also nearby through Shinjuku Station to help you access the rest of the city easily. If you don’t feel like going out, no worries. The hotel offers all kinds of facilities including a pool, spa, barber shop, beauty salon, restaurants, bars, etc.
However, I think what I enjoyed most about the hotel was its design. The rooms were modern and spacious with tranquil colors that created a very calming atmosphere. The room had every convenience I needed from toiletries to snacks, which meant I was able to get some work done without having to run any errands. I also felt in very good hands thanks to the friendliness and professionalism of every staff member.
Aside from some lingering drowsiness (which is to be expected), I woke up the next morning feeling significantly better. The fresh fruits, vegetables and variety of masterfully-cooked warm dishes further energized me to tackle a new day (the latte was also excellent).
