The world of Japanese entertainment and humor

Let me preface this by saying that humor can be very culturally specific. So, if you didn’t grow up watching Japanese television, any given comedy program might leave you totally confused (even if you speak Japanese) while all of your local buddies are rolling on the floor laughing (metaphorically speaking).

With that said however, I highly recommend giving Japanese entertainment a try and zapping through the various channels until you find something that catches your attention.

One of my favorite programs is called “Itte Q” broadcasted on Nippon Television Network System every Sunday from 8PM. Each episode features comedians and celebrities traveling to different countries to participate in various activities including seasonal festivals, local traditions, extreme rides at amusement parks, and more.
