There’s no doubt that Japan is a paradise for tea lovers. The drinks section at any convenience store or supermarket offers a variety of tea options–from soothing matcha to earthy oolongcha. The iced green tea by the brand Ayataka is probably my favorite as it has a very rich taste and texture.

Matcha ice cream is also a must for tea lovers. After a long day, I sometimes treat myself to Haagen-Dazs matcha ice cream—deeply flavorful and beautifully creamy.
On a trip to Hokkaido, I discovered a tea made from local corn! Definitely give it a try if you encounter it.
