I’m from Itami City in Hyogo Prefecture, and I spent most of my student years in Nishinomiya, the home of Koshien—Japan’s most famous baseball stadium, known for hosting the national high school baseball championships.

I serve as the Board Chair of Japan Okaki & Senbei Sommelier Association (JOSA) and work as a rice cracker connoisseur, mainly focusing on product planning, development, and marketing. I love sharing all aspects of traditional Japanese culture and hope to introduce more people to it.

Right now, I live in Itami with my family of four. Lately, I’ve been practicing mindfulness meditation to learn how to better nurture my well-being.

“What I love about Japan is the unwavering dedication of those who continuously innovate to preserve traditional craftsmanship. It’s hard to express, but perhaps it can be described as an attitude of never hesitating to put in the necessary effort to achieve mastery. This relentless pursuit of perfection is how I would characterize the spirit of Japanese craftsmanship, and that’s something I hold in profound admiration.”
