One of the most convenient ways to travel between Tokyo and Haneda Airport is the Monorail.

The Monorail began service in 1964, just weeks ahead of the 1964 Tokyo Olympics. It was Japan’s first airport rail link.
Not only convenient, the Monorail also offers scenic views, as it runs along Tokyo Bay for most of the ride. These include Rainbow Bridge, Tokyo Tower, and other waterfront sights. In fact, the Monorail’s fabulous views have earned it the nickname Tokyo Panorama Line.
Best airport access option?
The Monorail connects Hamamatsucho Station with Haneda Airport Terminal 2 and nine stations in between (including terminals 1 and 3) in roughly 25 minutes for local trains and around 15 for expresses to the airport. If you are heading toward (or from) central Tokyo or the east side of the city, the Monorail may be your fastest access option. However, if you are heading to or from the west side of Tokyo, taking the Keikyu Airport Line via Shinagawa Station may be quicker.
Another convenient feature of the Monorail is that it departs roughly every five minutes — a blessing if you are rushing to catch a flight!
The Monorail costs 520 yen per adult, and 260 yen for children, to travel between its terminal stations, with lower fees for stations in between.
