Although it sounds intuitive to start your Yokohama City exploration at Yokohama Station, Sakuragicho Station is actually located in a more central location so I suggest you start there. The shopping complex of Colette Mare and Landmark Tower are just nearby, and if you’re lucky, you’ll even see a live music performance in the open square right outside the station’s East Exit.
Besides walking toward Landmark Tower, you could take the YOKOHAMA AIR CABIN cable car or walk across the bridge to Akarenga Soko (Red Brick Warehouse), then stroll through Yamashita Park along the pier in the direction of Chinatown.
From Sakuragicho Station, the possibilities of exploration are endless!
