Yokohama—the beautiful harbor city near Tokyo—boasts many shopping complexes, but Sogo might be my favorite. Conveniently connected to the east side of Yokohama Station, it offers a wide variety of stores, from fashion and cosmetics to interior goods and groceries.
On floor B2, I almost always pick up delicious yokan (traditional Japanese confection made of red bean paste, agar and sugar) from Toraya, a beloved sweets shop established in the early 16th century in Kyoto. Loft on the 7th floor is another must-visit, offering top-quality stationery, kitchen goods, fashion items, seasonal decorations (especially around Halloween and Christmas), etc.
