My name is Todd Fong, and I am originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, having resided in Japan for over a decade. Since 2018, I have been writing about and photographing Japan for English-language publications and tourism organizations promoting inbound tourism. Work and play (mostly work) have taken me to 45 of Japan’s 47 prefectures, although you may be surprised by one of the ones I have never been to.
