Step inside the world’s largest Uniqlo store

Ginza is one of Tokyo’s most famous high-end shopping, dining, and entertainment districts, so it’s no surprise Uniqlo decided to establish a location there back in 2012. Well, not just any location though — the world’s largest Uniqlo store!

The wow factor

I still remember my first time stepping inside the building, amazed by its sheer size — 12 floors filled with nearly every Uniqlo item imaginable.

Unlike the smaller, often-crowded Uniqlo stores, this Ginza location is spacious and easy to navigate. Multiple elevators, including one that stops only at select floors for quicker access, make shopping hassle-free. Despite being located in upscale Ginza, I noticed that some items here actually cost less than what I had seen in other Uniqlo shops.

Uniqlo’s name is a contraction of “unique clothing,” and its first store was actually opened in Hiroshima in 1984. Since then, it’s taken the world by storm.

Helpful, affordable

If you visit, be sure to pick up a Heattech undershirt, a popular Uniqlo item that will keep you warm during winter. Uniqlo also offers specialty summer clothes, such as those designed to be extra-breathable or block UV rays.

Don’t miss this incredible spot for high-quality yet affordable Japanese clothing!
