If you know a little bit about Japanese street food, you might have heard of yakitori, which are grilled skewered chicken. They are simple yet absolutely delicious, and a staple dish at izakaya (traditional Japanese pubs). Speaking of izakaya, Shimbashi is a total hub for these funky eateries and a go-to spot for colleagues and friends to unwind after a long day of work.
The high concentration of izakaya in Shimbashi invariably raises the quality of food due to competition, so you could pretty much go into any of them and walk out totally satisfied. Personally though, I would recommend Yakitori Mashiko.
